Special Events
In March 2010 and 2011, the lights went off across the world, including at Manteo Resort – Waterfront Hotel & Villas.
It’s all part of Earth Hour, a global movement led by the World Wildlife Fund and sponsored by Fortis BC to encourage people to switch off their lights for an hour to draw attention to the need to conserve energy.
Manteo Resort participated in this event for the last 2 years, including turning off all lights in the hotel and in the Wild Apple Restaurant & Lounge. Guests were invited to participate by turning lights off in their rooms at 8:30pm and then joining the Manteo Team in the Hotel Lobby for complimentary refreshments and snacks.
Manteo Resort proudly supported this global climate change initiative. The above video showcases what our guests experienced by being part of the movement.
