Manteo Resort¹s full-service waterfront restaurant delivers gourmet dining in a casually elegant atmosphere
KELOWNA, BC - The Wild Apple Grill at Kelowna¹s new Manteo Resort Waterfront Hotel & Villas, offers a delectable menagerie of the finest in Pacific Northwest cuisine, accented by a spectacular lakeside setting. ³Our philosophy is to deliver a menu that showcases an international array of flavorful and creative dishes using the region¹s freshest local ingredients,² says Executive Chef, Reinhard Foerderer. ³We have developed a selection of traditional favorites with unique twists while introducing new and distinctive items guaranteed to tantalize tastebuds.²
The Wild Apple Grill is an 85-seat waterfront restaurant, featuring a custom-designed, open-concept kitchen, a 30-seat lounge as well as an outdoor patio for up to 120 patrons. The restaurant¹s unparalleled cuisine is only matched by guests¹ panoramic view of Okanagan Lake, set against a landscape of vineyards, fruit orchards and expertly-crafted golf courses.
A comprehensive breakfast menu features traditional favorites like the Continental, eggs benedict, buttermilk pancakes and thick-slice French toast, as well as unique items such as veggie Fritata with sautéed mushrooms and grilled red pepper, or a warm flour tortilla stuffed with ham, scrambled eggs, lettuce, tomato, aged cheddar and sour cream.
The luncheon menu is equally inviting, featuring specialty items like Baby Shrimp Burrito, triple cheese and asparagus Quesadilla and a cilantro Chicken Burger. Alternatively, salmon, curried chicken breast and New York steak ³lunch-sized² entrées satisfy hearty appetites, as do the restaurant¹s signature Big Plate Salads.
Appetizers are as tempting as entrées at dinner time, and include sweet and sour tossed pork ribs with toasted sesame seeds, beer battered onion rings served with chipotle mayonnaise, and sauteed spicy crab claws. Entrées range from a Pesto Farfalle with fresh clams, tomato, Chorizo sausage and red onions in a white wine pesto sauce, to grilled salmon, New York Steak or a pound of fresh, steamed asparagus served with tomato vinaigrette and a basmati and wild rice blend.
A complete children¹s menu, provides ³musts² like cheese or pepperoni pizza, hot dogs, grilled cheese, chicken fingers, pasta, and kid-sized soups and salads. A mouth-watering lounge and tappas menu completes the offerings with treats like vegetarian pot stickers, fresh Manila clams, and jumbo chicken wings.
The restaurant is a welcome addition to Kelowna¹s fine dining venues, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week, 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Group reservations can be made in advance and full banquet and catering services for special events, meetings and conferences are readily available.
