KELOWNA, BC - Tom Freitag, General Manager of Manteo Resort, is pleased to announce the appointment of Leasa Kennedy as Director of Sales. ³Leasaıs unbridled energy, coupled with her in depth knowledge and understanding of sales and the tourism industry, makes her an invaluable addition to our management team,² says Freitag.
Kennedy has been in the hospitality industry for more than 13 years, most recently as Sales Manager at the new 283-room Hilton Vancouver Metrotown.
Before joining Hiltonıs pre-opening sales team, Kennedy was the Regional Director of Sales for Coast Hotels & Resorts. Prior to that, she spent seven years with The Grand Okanagan Resort & Conference Centre, including four years as the resortıs Vancouver Sales Manager.

Kennedy will be targeting the leisure and family markets, individual business travellers and corporate group and association planners looking for waterfront meeting facilities for up to 200 people. Kennedy is responsible for Canadian sales operations, with a primary focus on western Canada, as well as Washington State.
Opened in March, 2000 Manteo Resort is a 78-room hotel that combines with 14 two-and three-bedroom full-service villas to deliver the regionıs finest waterfront resort experience. Set on the shores of 150-kilometre-long (90 mile) Okanagan Lake, facilities include the 85-seat Wild Apple Grill, with a 120-seat waterfront patio and 30-seat indoor lounge.
The resortıs 12,000 square-foot-clubhouse features an indoor heated swimming pool, hot tub, mensı and womensı saunas and steamrooms. A wide variety of spa services are also available. The casual Fireside Library or the Upper Lounge, featuring a pool table, big screen TV and a large waterfront patio, can be reserved for private gatherings of up to 60 people.
The 2,700-square-foot Waterfront Room can accommodate up to 160 for a banquet, or up to 245 for a reception. For smaller corporate meetings and retreats, Manteo Resort is equipped with a 30-seat theatre and six lakeview boardrooms, each able to host up to 16 people.
