Top rating reflects commitment to guest satisfaction

KELOWNA, BC - Canada Select has awarded a four-and-a-half star rating to Kelownaıs Manteo Resort Waterfront Hotel & Villas. Opened in March, 2000 Manteo Resort is a 78-room hotel that combines with 14 two-and three-bedroom full-service villas to deliver the regionıs finest waterfront resort experience.

The Canada Select program categorizes the countryıs accommodation offerings into six categories: resort, hotel / motel, bed & breakfast, country inn, cottage, and hunting / fishing lodges). Under the resort category, Manteo Resort is pleased to be rated among the provinceıs finest properties, including Victoriaıs Ocean Pointe Resort and closer to home, the Grand Okanagan Lakefront Resort and Conference Centre.

. Canada Selectıs four star minimum requirements for resort properties, include: secure, clean, well maintained, air conditioned rooms, an exercise room, business services, laundry service and room service. Other qualifications of which Manteo Resort met were larger-than-average sized guest rooms, television with cable, data line access, indoor heated pool and whirlpool and bell and valet services.

Canada Selectıs half-star designation recognizes that the ³overall quality of of the facilities exceeds the specific category star rating.²

Set on the shores of 150-kilometre-long (90 mile) Okanagan Lake, Manteo Resort facilities include the 85-seat Wild Apple Grill, with a 120-seat waterfront patio and 30-seat indoor lounge.

The resortıs 12,000 square-foot-clubhouse features an indoor heated swimming pool, hot tub, mensı and womensı saunas and steamrooms. A wide variety of spa services are also available. The casual Fireside Library or the Upper Lounge, featuring a pool table, big screen TV and a large waterfront patio, can be reserved for private gatherings of up to 60 people.

The 2,700-square-foot Waterfront Room can accommodate up to 160 for a banquet, or up to 245 for a reception. For smaller corporate meetings and retreats, Manteo Resort is equipped with a 30-seat theatre and six lakeview boardrooms, each able to host up to 16 people.
